The contents of this MSYS/MinGW system are managed using a Mercurial repository with Mercurial Queues.

Here are some hints for using this system:

get started
-----------

run msys.bat

show available packages
-----------------------

$ hg qseries

show currently installed packages
---------------------------------

$ hg qapplied

install the next package of the "qseries" list
----------------------------------------------

$ hg qpush

uninstall the last package of the "qapplied" list
-------------------------------------------------

$ hg qpop

install all "default" packages
------------------------------

$ hg qpush -a

show available optional packages
--------------------------------

$ hg qguard --list

optional packages are the ones that have a "named guard" attached,
like "+hg" or "+git"

enable the installation of optional packages
--------------------------------------------

$ hg qselect <guard1> [<guard2> ...]

for example:

$ hg qselect hg -> enables the installation of optional packages for development with Mercurial
$ hg qselect git -> enables the installation of optional packages for development with git
$ hg qselect hg git -> enables installation of optional hg and git packages

after enabling the optional packages, install/uninstall with hg qpush/qpop

disable the installation of optional packages
---------------------------------------------

$ hg qselect --none

set a Mercurial username (optional)
-----------------------------------

open the file /etc/mercurial/hgrc.d/hgrc.rc in an editor and edit the line

; username = myusername <my@email>

then remove the ";" from the line and save the file
