Well, this is new for me. I studied methods around the Web and was influenced by many, like R.E.D. and Frizzlefried. The idea of a music disk I think is to canalize energy from many people to gather great music faster. And since I'm a dedicated fan of IRON MAIDEN, I want to increase the number of MODS by the band. The title was of course derived from the band's compilation record BEST OF THE BEAST, and it is in a way, I hope, the best effort made by fans to pay tribute to a band.

With great enthusiasm, my friend HAKAN JERNING offers 10Mb of web space for the record, and since he collects MAIDEN mods from every source himself, the project has a lot of meaning and importance to him. So, together we have collected mods from around the World Wide Web and from many new friends made in the process. So there you have it, the 'BEST OF THE FANS' Web Music Disk!!! I hope you like it and please, give us feedback on it. The input we get might help us in the future, maybe when we release a second installment. Till then, keep on rockin' and Up The Irons!!!

This project is the third biggest happening related to Iron Maiden this year for me, only Virtual XI and Maidens World Tour is bigger. I have collected Maiden Modules for about a year now and much has happened since I started. When I created my Web page I only had 2 Iron Maiden Modules, (there of the name "The Iron Maiden Midi Archive" and no mention about Mods), both the modules were composed by BETRAYER but quite fast I found THE DRAGONS and CADAVERS pages and got contacted by LLAGERAN and so on.

Before the release of this disk I had 20 Iron Maiden Modules on my site and now there are 9 more. Then you understand how big this project is for Me and the Iron Maiden Modules of course. At last I want to thank all the composers that have joined this project and made really great works.
