SME Server Project - Our Community
The SME Server community is a group of people who share labor, ideas, time and experience to advance the SME Server project and are hereafter referred to as "developers".

The Technical committee may be made up from the following groups:
Security Team
Investigates security problems. Releases official security fixes.
- Release Manager
Package Assignment
Maintains list of which developer is maintaining which package(s). Maintains list of unassigned packages. Provides write access to official source code repository for package maintainers.
- Bug Team
- Documentation Team
Web Maintainer
Maintains offical web sites.
Mirrors
Coordinates mirror system.
Marketing & Publicity Team
Encapsulates the roles of traditional "Marketing and Communications" and fulfils the following core activities in collaboration with the Documentation Team:
- Provide a "first port of call" for potential "end users" and developers interested in what contribs.org are about and who SME Server is for
- Create awareness in technical and non-technical markets of the benefits of SME Server and the cabailities of contribs.org
- Provide branded information, in formats relevant to the audience, about how SME Server supported by contribs.org can be usd in for-profit and not-for-profit situations
- To optimise potential for donations through the message put out about the SME Server.
To provide a focus for Analysts and Press requiring information about contribs.org, SME Server and the developer community
