The sane-umax library implements a SANE backend that provides acces to several UMAX-SCSI-scanners. Parallel- and USB- scanners are not supported!

# There is no UTA available for the Vista T630, the UTA-V6 is limited supported, if you have problems with your Vista T630 scanner and you have a UTA-V6 connected, try without UTA! ## 10/30 bits/pixel are used internally, the output bit depth is 8/24 bits/pixel
The old UMAX scanners often make problems. That may have to do with the firmware version. The first firmware versions are not compatible with Windows95, so I think they will not work with this driver too. UMAX suggests to use the following firmware versions for Windows 95:
