Subject: [*] Digital Diary v3.0.5

Digital Diary v3.0.5 by Eric Rojo (ericrojo@telus.net)

Digital Diary Works the Way You Do to Easily Keep Track of all the Important
Decisions and Activities on all your Projects

Digital Diary allows fingertip access to the activity history and current
status of any project, with the added ability to view all activities on all
projects on any particular day. On a complex project, there could be a
dozen or more separate issues being dealt with simultaneously, each with its
own distinct status and decision stream. Digital Diary helps keep track of
all this by providing a convenient way of recording and automatically
organizing this information. While most personal information managers focus
on scheduling and contacts management, Digital Diary focuses on keeping an
organized record of your activities and decisions, allowing you quick and
easy retrieval of a project's history. Versatile report generation can
organize your data in any manner you choose.

Here are a Few of the Many Uses of Digital Diary:

Business, Sales, and Consulting:
- Project activities and decisions
- Upcoming deadlines, meetings, and appointments
- Telephone and meeting records
- Discussions with suppliers, consultants, clients and co-workers
- Decisions made and communicated to clients, co-workers, and subordinates
- Directions received from clients, authorities, and management
- Decision / activity 'streams' relating to issues within a project
Academic and Scientific:
- Experiment progress notes
- On-going research projects
Educational:
- Individual student progress diary
Home and Personal:
- Personal projects and hobbies
- Special events (weddings, holidays, family reunions, etc.)

Some Unsolicited Comments from Users:

for such a program as Digital Diary because I want to manage concurrent
projects."
T. Takashina, Japan

"I discovered your product Digital Diary on the MacUser Internet site and
since using the product, I have been ecstatic. Finally, I've found a piece
of commercial software that enables me to organize my life the way I desire.

 > Overview
........................................................................

If you are viewing a Web site with your browser and you decide that you
would like to make a copy of it on your hard drive, you have to
manually save each page as you view it along with embedded pictures,
sounds and so on. This can be a very long and tedious process, and in
many cases it's more trouble than it's worth. It doesn't have to be
that way, however, as Web Dumper makes this whole process very fast and
easy.

With Web Dumper you can download entire Web sites off of the Internet,
and save them on your hard drive for later offline browsing. Downloaded
Web sites are saved on your hard drive with their directory structure
intact. Web Dumper automatically downloads HTML documents along with
their embedded pictures, sounds, movies and so on while it screens them
to look for any enclosed links to other documents.

Web Dumper lets you select which kinds of file you want to be dumped
between more than 60 available standard types, the folder depth level,
how links must be processed and if it must re-link your HTML documents
for offline browsing.

Hello,

It's been a couple of weeks since I posted my original question, but I
wanted to test before replying. Several people responded, and all
recommended "IPNetSentry" (http://www.sustworks.com), so I downloaded
a trial version, and was very impressed!

I had a few questions about their configuration process, which were
answered promptly and in detail. Plus, through the log, I was able to
see intrusion attempts that they blocked!

So I purchased a license for $35, and feel quite secure. As a happy
customer, I recommend it.

Thanks!
Carolyn

Subject: maping an ip address to a machine access code on a network

Hi,

I am trying to troubleshoot and monitor my small community WIFI clound. Is there network software out there or a command I can type from the terminal interface in OSX that will give me back all the MAC's of the WIFI and ethernet cards on my network?

Here is the long story: I have an aeronet router connected to a DSL line. On one of the ports I have a SM2652W WAP that is running OPenAP. There are 7 other WAPs in our neighborhood which receive and propogate the signal. My router dynamically assigns IP addresses. I have used a couple of network utilities that ping the WAPs and tell me their IP address but they do not give the MAC of the device so I have no way to figure out actual idenity of that device since the IP can change.

I also have an Apple airport card and when I pull up the signal strenght utilities it shows the MAC address of the WAP it is communicating with so I know that information must be broadcast. I just want to poll everything from one mac rather than walking around the neighborhood.

Thanks, David
