About this How To

Summary: When a browser visits a https page the browser checks it\'s list of Authorised Certificates, against the issuer of the certificate your web server gives. The default is self issued. Your browser then prompts you if you want to add this certificate to your browsers list.

If you have a SSL certificate issued by a major Certificate Authority you are not prompted about the validity of the certificate.
